Tolles Programm

Funktioniert wirklich gut.

Nerds to get fixed

It seems to me that notes are recorded just random neither rhythm nor pitch is recorded correctly. When singing along and playing back the midi file in GarageBand there comes out just useless garbage. I have first locked out al noise from outside. Ill retry with piano and guitar. Anyway it is a great idea as soon as its fixed, as I really find it hard to write down the notes of a song. Fix it and I will give you five

Crash

Doesnt work on the ipad pro.

Excellent for piano or singing

One of my favorite music apps to date, this quickly shows the pitch of the last notes played. Doesnt show chords or note durations, but still pretty unique and enduringly useful.

Preferences

Its impossible to go out from Preferences pane without exit from the main application.

The requirement of OS 3.12 is ridiculous

To the developer, build your app with lower version SDK, otherwise I cant review it.

Useful but unstable

This is a pretty nifty little app which accurately displays notes based on what your phone hears. The only thing bad about this version is that it crashed repeatedly on me. Hopefully, this unstable bug gets fixed soon.

Cool utility for musicians

Great for tuning my guitar or the whole band. Does what it says simply and quickly.

Impressive

It works very well itd be cool if it had a feature that actually wrote the notes down as opposed to just showing them as you play but still pretty cool :)

I likes...

If you had the feature of saving the notes shown or making them available for print... That would be excellent.

Very Cool music app

This is so cool - to know just what frequncy Im singing or playing. Esp. in a capella singing. You isolate the one person who might be singing the wrong note (or even just a bit out of tune), and Presto, youve got instant (and deadly accurate) feedback, plus the ability to test the corrected pitch. I have had zero crashing problems. Getting back & forth from the note-and-frequency display was a bit mystifying for a while, until I figured out it was just based on screen orientation. Note that most of the reviews consist of enhancement requests - the sign of a good app that people are figuring out new ways to use. Recommended.

Perfect for Singers

A great little app for learning to sight-read. You sing a note into the phone. Magic Stave shows you the note it heard in your choice of grand, treble, or bass cleff. Keep practicing until you get it right! It also shows you the note on the piano keyboard or guitar (your choice.) You can also set the key signature. My only suggestion is a small improvement in setting the key signature. You set the key signature by choosing the key name (e.g. D Major). It would be nice to tell you the number of Sharps of Flats (e.g. D Major: ##) for those of us who dont know our keys as well as we should. The author is VERY responsive. I havent tried the recording function yet.

Very cool app

A very cool app that keeps getting better. I use it mainly for vocals, but I could see it being an excellent tuner for guitar as well. Im sure itd be even better on a 3G phone, but it works on my older phone, too. Author is very responsive to feedback and suggestions. Keep up the good work!

The program fail to find correct note frequently.

The program fail to find correct note frequently.

waste of time

interesting concept, terrible execution. useless for any real musical endeavor. avoid.

Note History doesnt work

Tried the free version and liked it but it didnt record a note history, which the full version boasts. So bought the full version for that purpose and i greatly regret it. The note history, for one thing, cant be cleared. But then it only shows the last 7 notes anyway, and it has never once actually shown the correct sequence of notes that i played. It also wont show the same note if it is played twice in a row. It shows a correct note here or there plus a lot of incorrect notes that were never even played. It often seems to be laying notes down randomly, sometimes going to a lower note when it should be going to a higher one. The lack of accuracy is both profound and disgusting. It does do a decent job recognizing notes when the note history is turned off. My recommendation, if the note history is important to you, is to stay with the free app until the developer fixes this one, or perhaps find another. I cant comment on any of the other features.

A great way to indicate the notes

This is a great little tool for those who dont yet sight read music, or are looking to fine tune ones accuracy. I play the theremin, and this will be a great tool for my theremin students. I noticed someone mentioning inaccuracy of notes being displayed on repeated attempts at the same note being played. A number of factors can cause inaccurate note values to be displayed. Room accoustics, overtones generated by the body of an instrument (violins, cellos, guitars, ect), and room noise, such as computer cooling fans, insects that make noise (crickets), refrigerators, or airconditioners humming, or even an old flourescent light humming can interfere. It helps to have an accoustically quiet room. Perhaps a microphone adjustment might help filter out some of these issues in another version update. Tobad the ipods, and iphones dont have line inputs. All in all I like this product. Thanks.

Pitch recognition.

This cool app hears the note you play and automatically shows you what it is!

Does what it promises!

Finally able to " write" a song by singing it. It records the notes in midi format which I was able to import into Garage Band then convert to a printable score. Im a novice so putting notes from my head on paper has been a challenge- but not anymore. This apps also tells me what key I sing in. I had some questions about the app and the developer was very helpful. Happy with my purchase!
